What’s your favourite way to learn a new language?
In my case, reading comic books is a great help in learning a foreign language. I come across new words, interesting phrases, and set expressions, always in context. I pick them up easily and then practice using them in conversations with myself (language learners can relate). I believe the main reason these new words stick in my head is that I read stories in the same genre over and over again. I really enjoy stories with similar plots.
So, it’s time to confess… I’m addicted to love stories! There’s something captivating about reading a heartwarming story about first love accompanied by beautiful illustrations.

I'm not sure that "in" is wrong, and I didn't really think about it until I reread the sentence, but I can only think of it being used like this when you're talking about a period of time or a specific situation, not something that is a general case such as "learning a language"... I guess it is YOUR case specifically but idk...
ie. "a great help in times of need," "a great help in the moment," "a great help in situations where..."
