IT HAS BEEN SIX YEARS

It has been six years since I started learning English. It has been the most enjoyable period of my life. Every day, I do many things to improve my English skills. Although I live in a country where there are no English speakers, I try very hard to practice my English online. I know nothing is impossible, but one has to be patient and ambitious. Until now, I am still working very hard to become a writer in English through self-education, and I am sure someday I will achieve my goal.

Until now, I am still working very hard to become a writer in English through self-education, and I am sure someday I will achieve my goal.

"Until now" makes it sound like the author isn't working towards this goal anymore. Instead, I'd suggest:

"For now, I am still..."
