I study English mostly as a hobby rather than for practical purposes.
Recently, however, I had to participate in international research for work, which required me to go through an English online manual and answer questions in an e-learning format.
The manual was narrated in a standard American English accent, which made me easy to understand.
At first, I didn't even consider whether the voice was human or AI.
Since she didn't stumble over her words, I assume that she or the voice was created by AI.
However, in the third or fourth chapter, I noticed uncomfortable inspiratory breathing sounds between each sentence as if the speaker was taking a breath just before starting the next sentence. But the quality of those breathing sounds seemed to be almost the same or even "Identical" every time.
I became distracted by these breathing sounds that I lost track of the manual's content, and was wondering whether the narration was done by a human or it was an AI voice that even mimicked the human inspiratory breathing sound.
When the next chapter began, the breathing sound was completely gone, and the narration returned to its previous state without any breathing noises.
What could it mean that only one chapter had these breathing sounds?
Was the chapter recorded by a human for some reason, or did they use a prototype program that simulated human breathing just for that chapter?
It's a complete mystery.
Does anyone know about AI voices that mimic even the sound of breathing?

you could also say "question whether"
Since she didn't stumble over her words, I assumed that she or thewas a voice was created by AI.
I think this flows better. If you wanted to keep it similar to how you've written it, I'd do it this way: I assumed that "she", or her voice, was created by AI.
However, in the third or fourth chapter, I noticed uncomfortable inspiratory breathhaling sounds between each sentence, as if the speaker was taking a breath just before starting the next sentence.

Very well written! The idea of AI imitating breathing is disturbing...
