Is Japanese easy language to learn?
A YouTube video I watched today had the topic "Japanese is an easy language to learn” and it was interesting.
I always hear that "Japanese is a hard language to learn”, but it might for the first time to hear “easy.”
In the video some foreigners who learning Japanese gave some examples that they thought easy points to learn.
I thought that made sense.
I also felt funny that in the end of video, they said,“I feel like we made it a little bit more complicated explaining how easy it is!”

今日見たユーチューブ動画で「日本語は簡単な言語」というトピックがあって面白かった。
「日本語は学ぶのが難しい言語だ」というのはよく聞くけど、”簡単だ”というのは初めて聞いたかもしれない。
日本語を学習中の外国人が日本語が簡単だとおもう理由をいくつか挙げていた。
なるほどとおもったけど、結局最後には「どれだけ簡単かを説明しようとすればするほど複雑な言語に感じた」と言っていて、それも面白かった。

Very interesting video! I think a lot of people say it's hard because it's so different from other Eurocentric languages, but if I think about it, languages like Russian and German seem really hard, though I've never studied them before. (I've studied French before and I hate it with a passion)

COMMENT: The core is, "For whom?" For Korean speakers, Japanese is not a very difficult language to learn. Japanese and Korean share many similarities. For Chinese speakers, the kanji used in Japanese are not so difficult. For most English speakers, the pronunciation is not so difficult. However, the written language is often a challange.

Great writing! I'll have to watch this video. Like learning any language, I think learning Japanese has both easy parts and difficult parts, and what's easy and difficult can depend on a variety of factors (like your first language, your ability at learning languages, your interest in Japanese, etc).

I'll have to watch that video. I tried learning Japanese about 10 years ago but found it very difficult.
