Today, I don't really have enough time for a long text. I just wanted to say that my new writing strategy (writing one day in German and one day in English) turned out to be even more beneficial than I'd expected. It gives me ample time to analyze my mistakes and get the most out of the explanations you guys provide. So for those of you who study several languages concurrently, this approach might be a good idea. Check it out!

I wonder about using "turned out to be" because this is something you are experiencing now, and that is shown in the next sentence which is in the present tense. What do you think?

Do you think that substituting ''Check it out!'' with ''Try it out!'' would be a good idea?

I thought that was an interesting suggestion. They have slightly different connotations for me. "Check it out" can be a little more passive, like you are going to look at something, not necessarily do something. The internet examples a quick search gave me focused on "paying attention" to something, "investigating, evaluating" something, so they back up my intuition. For example, we check into a hotel, and I notice some cool feature, like they have a pool on the roof deck, and you say, "We should definitely check it out!" This could mean to go look at it, not necessarily go for a swim. So if you want people to actually try your approach, then I think the substitution is a good one.
As for the recent observation, maybe the perfect past tense? "has turned out to be" would capture that.

But, you don't actually need "out" with "try"--it would also work to say "Try it!"
(or if you wanted to be more encouraging / bossy "You should try it!")
"Try it out" is what I'd use for testing something before buying it. So that connotation might work for you.

I find studying one language takes up enough of my time, I don't know if I'd ever manage two!

I think that if you're more or less fluent in your first TL, embarking on a second one shouldn't be that challenging. I learn new English and German words everyday and never get bored :)
I really like the variety so it's basically impossible for me to burnout with an approach like this. But it all boils down to how much free time you have, of course.

I am an ESL teacher and I was impressed with your writing. Nothing stood out as needing corrections. I thought I would instead take time to comment on your post. I also know multiple languages. I like the idea of alternating between writing the different languages for practice. Thank you for the idea!
