A kislányom szeptembertől iskolás lesz, német iskolába fog járni. Az iskola közel van hozzánk, voltunk nyílt napon és nagyon tetszett. És annak is örülök, hogy még ebben a fogékony korban megismerkedik egy harmadik nyelvvel.

'is near to us' - This makes complete sense, but we just wouldn't say it like that :)

The school is near to us,; we were on an open day there and we liked it very much. The school is near to us; we were on an open day there and we liked it very much.

Different preposition.

And I am really happy that she will get to know to a third language during this receptive age. I am really happy that she will get to know a third language during this receptive age.

Nothing wrong with the ‘and’. Grammatically it is allowed. It just reads better this way.
