Intelligent could be a gift or poison.

A saying from mother:" Rather have an intelligent son, than born a stupid one". Her words had influenced me for a long time. In my childhood, my gift doesn't approve I guess. So that had not any senior praise me. I comforted myself. I am not stupid. I am just not that kind of smart compared with the genius. But my aunt said that I look retarded when I was young. I have to admit I still angry about what she said. Even if I know she doesn't mean that I just don't look smart. After I turned to 20 and with a lot of experience, I am starting to glad I don't belong to a smart one. That could be a kind of gift.

This is the paragraph of my personal reflection. please help me check my grammar. thank you very much.

SNo that had not any seniorelders praised me.

I a'm not stupid.

I am is correct, but "I'm" is a little more conversational sounding. You can add contractions like this to help sound more natural.

I a'm just not that kind of smart compared with thea genius.

But my aunt said that I looked retarded when I was young.

I have to admit I'm still angry about what she said.

Even if I know she doesn't means that I just don't look smart.

After INow that I have turned to 20 and with a lot of experience, I a'm starting to be glad I don't belong to a smart one.

"a smart one" ---> what is the "one" in this sentence? I would add that because it's not so clear.

After INow that I have turned to 20 and with a lot of experience, I a'm starting to be glad I don't belong to a smart one.

I suppose the author meant "I'm starting to be glad I'm not part of the smart people group" or "I'm starting to be glad I don't belong to the smart category".

Intelligentce could be a gift or poison.

Intelligent = adjective
The noun you want is "Intelligence"
Example:
"He is very intelligent" (commonly used) OR
"He has a lot of intelligence" (not used)

A saying from my mother:" RI would rather have an intelligent son, than borngive birth to a stupid one".

In my childhood, my gift doesn't approve I guess.

Not sure what you mean here, sorry

So that had not any senior person has praised me.

I comforted myself.

I am not stupid.

I am just not that kind of smart compared with thea genius.

the genius = one specific person

a genius = any person who is a genius

But my aunt said that I look retarded when I was young.

I have to admit I still angry about what she said.

Even if I know she doesn't meant that I just don't look smart.

The second "don't" makes this negative already. No need for "doesn't" as well.

After I turned to 20 and withhad a lot of experience, I am starting to glad I don't belong toed to be glad I am not a smart persone.

First clause is past tense but second clause is present tense. Try not to switch between tenses mid-sentence, it's very difficult. Even native children are taught in school not to switch tenses mid-sentence.

I have changed it to be all PAST-tense. In all PRESENT-tense it would be:

"Now that I have turned 20 and have a lot of experience, I am starting to be glad I am not a smart person"

"to belong" is not the right verb. "to be" is better:
"He IS a smart person",
"They ARE smart people",
"You ARE so smart" etc.

That could be a kind of gift.

Being a hard worker is more valuable than being smart. In English we have a saying: "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard", and it's true.

You have worked hard to be able to write this, and much of it is very good, well done!

It is a kind of gift from God I thought.
