I'm so addicted to Instagram. Whenever I'm bored or don't know what to do, I end up looking at Instagram posts. Sometimes I'm not even having fun while I do it, but somehow I can't stop. I tried restricting the amount of time I can use the app, but I use it more time anyway. Maybe I would use my phone less if I had other stuff to do, but I have no clue what to do instead. If I got bored more often and didn't use my phone, I may be able to figure out what to do.
My self control is basically non-existent, but I will do my best to reduce my screen time. I tried it one time, and was able to use it only 2 hours and a half a day, which is not much considering I use it about six hours a day (I wish I was kidding). It didn't last long, but I will try again. I know that I can do it if I set my mind to it.

Hi Naza,
I think you and I are in the same boat. I also use Instagram way too much for my own liking (2-3 hours a day), but I usually am on the discover page looking at videos or posts. It is hard to control yourself on mindlessly scrolling.
One tip I have is to try to pick up a new hobby! I've picked up a couple of new hobbies during our quarantine such as painting and playing the ukulele.
Trust me, I understand the struggle of getting off our phones and specifically Instagram, but just try again and maybe you can replace picking up your phone to scroll on Instagram with another positive habit!
Best of luck to you!

Hi! OMG me too! The discover page makes me lose such an amount of time. Those are great hobbies, I wish you the best of luck with them. Thank you so much for the advice. It means a lot to me that you've taken the time to reply.
