Sometimes, when you're late for work or running back and forth on business like a squirrel in a wheel, it's worth stopping for a couple of minutes, closing your eyes and taking a deep inhale and a deep exhalation. Listen to the noise of the street or the noise of the rain, extraneous conversations. You may even hear birds singing in the city! Sometimes it's worth stopping for a moment to catch your breath. Stop, feel here and now. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply. Say "thank you" to yourself. Thank you for stopping, for feeling that you have heard. Say "thank you" to the world for giving you the opportunity to stop, feel, hear and see. Say "thank you" to the new day and new events. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply. Thanks.
