Indonesia Has A China Problem In Its Nickel Industry

In developed countries, there is an effort to promote the use of electric vehicles, which emit very little CO₂ and contribute to mitigating global warming.
However, manufacturing electric vehicles requires the rare metal nickel. To mine this nickel, China has beeb razing mountains on Indonesian islands and cutting down large numbers of trees that absorb CO₂.
To make matters worse, they are dumping harmful substances, causing significant problems for the local people.
Isn't this a case of putting the cart before the horse?
China has been destroying nature everywhere for the sake of money. I believe global warming is nothing more than a pretense for profit-making.

Indonesia Hhas A China Problem Iwith China in Iits Nickel Industry

The original could work but my suggestion is more of a standard sentence.

In developed countries, there is an effort to promote the use of electric vehicles, which emit very little CO₂ and contribute to mitigating global warming.

However, manufacturing electric vehicles requires the rare metal nickel.

To mine this nickel, China has beebn razing mountains on Indonesian islands and cutting down large numbers of trees that absorb CO₂.

Looks like a typo.

To make matters worse, they are dumping harmful substances, causing significant problems for the local people.

Perhaps "harmful biproducts".

Isn't this a case of putting the cart before the horse?

Not sure if "putting the cart before the horse" is the correct one here. Perhaps "shooting yourself in the foot" or "cutting off your nose to spite your face"?

China has beenis destroying nature everywhere for the sake of money.

Could use "has been" but "is" suggests is going on right now.

I believe global warming is nothing more than a pretense for profit-making.
