I listened to and read a news article in English on Newsinlevels.

"I read and listened to" might be better.

When you use two words/verbs where one takes an extra preposition (listen *to*) and one doesn't (read), then usually the one which takes the preposition comes next.

1) When you join two sentences with "and", if they're completely separate, there's a comma.
If they have the same subject, there's no comma.

e.g:

"I am walking to school and talking to my friend." ("I" is doing both, no comma)
"I'm walking to school, and my friend is talking to me." (Different subjects, comma)


2) USA/US takes "the".

However, others consider it like a bad idea because the plan canould make OTA weak.

It's a hypothetical, so you use "could", not "can" :)

interesting = something which causes interest
e.g "This book is interesting to me = I have interest in this book"

interested = the person/group who has interest
e.g "I am interested in this book = I have interest in this book"

« OTAN » is translated as "NATO" in English. Very technical, but helpful to know.
