if only LIly chose Snape !
Seatting long and boring hours on the lessons of Potions, Charms, Transfiguration or Herbology I often think about something more interesting.
For example what could happen if Lily chose Snape instead of James Potter.
I think it could be a really nice story of relations - inspiring, strong and emotional.
The story when one and one gives much more when two separate things.
It could might have brought Snape into the Potter family and he become softer aand more positive .
May be the whole atmosphere in Hogwarts could be different, more ositive and less bullying.
May be then Professor Snape could be more loyal to Dumbledore and play on his side in the fight against Voldemort.
MAy be James Potter would chosen another personal journey without Lily.
Who knows? So many possible variants.. I am not a great exert in all those "feelings and connections".

But, like someone else mentioned, Lily would've just joined the Snape family, not the Potters!
Though maybe Snape really would have been a better person if he got what he wanted... but doesn't that mean he wasn't really that good of a person at all? 💭

But Lily would’ve become Lily Snape, bringing her into the Snape family, not Severus into the Potter family. Then maybe their son, Harry Snape, would’ve turned out like Draco Malfoy. :-)
