4. Describe a friend you like to talk with
A friend I love having conversations with is Quynh, my former classmate from secondary school. We were desk mates, which provided us with ample opportunities to get to know each other. To our delightful surprise, we share remarkably similar preferences and tastes in nearly everything. This common ground made our conversations never boring for either of us because what I find intriguing, she also finds captivating. We chatted so much that our other classmates often wondered how we found so much to talk about.
However, after graduation, our paths diverged. She went abroad for her education, while I moved to a different city for university. Face-to-face conversations became rare due to the distance, but we've kept the connection alive through daily text messages. What I truly enjoy about talking with her is how different our lives have become. She's experiencing a whole new world in Spain. Back when I was still in university, she shared stories of her exciting extracurricular activities, like horseback riding and hockey, which were novel concepts to me. My university life was rather mundane, occupied with classes and part-time work. Now, I've entered the workforce, but she's still pursuing postgraduate education, working towards a master's degree.
She is very interested in my work life, and I'm intrigued by her postgraduate education and the advanced topics she's studying. Because our schedules are busy, we can only chat on weekends. This gives us many updates to catch up on, and our conversations can go on for hours and hours.
All in all, our friendship has continued to thrive despite the physical distance and busy lives we lead.
