Today I went to the dentist. I have been undergoing root canal therapy for a while. At first, I thought I could save the tooth with vital pulp therapy, which involves putting some kind of material in the tooth after cleaning out all the infected area, and seeing if the tooth can recover on its own. (That's what I believe it is, without any fact-checking.)

But last month, the tooth started to hurt, so I went back to the dentist. He took a look at it and said, "Ah, your canal is like jelly! You need root canal therapy." I'm not the type of person who is afraid of dental surgery, and the therapy wasn't really painful—the only thing that hurt was my wallet.
