I was baptized in my childhood when I was about seven years old. I was taught that God created the world, because I was born into a Christian family. I was taught that the theory of evolution was wrong. Every weekend, my parents attended church activities. When I was a child, I was well-acquainted with biblical stories featuring Abraham, Noah's Ark, Moses, Samson and Delilah. When I was a child, I read a comic version of the Bible, but now I use a bilingual Bible.

'In my childhood' would refer more to habitual actions, rather than something specific e.g. 'In my childhood, I enjoyed skateboarding'
When I was a childAt that time, I read a comic version of the Bible, but now I use a bilingual Bible.
You've set the timeframe in the previous sentence so no need to specify again.
