How do you treat a cold?

I take a bath to boost my immunity and drink energy drink before I go to sleep. I always try to cure ills by myself rather than go to hospital. However I think lately that I should go to hospital and be taken cure by professional.

Great job!

If I have a cold or fever, I take a day off or two from work so that I can stay at home and rest. I eat things like chicken noodle soup or chicken rice porridge and drink a lot of water. If my condition doesn't seem to improve much, then I'll go to the doctor. Usually, they'll prescribe an antibiotic.

I always try to cure my ills by myself rather than go to hospitalthe doctor.

Subtle difference, but "by myself" = "alone." While the sentence works in this sense too, using just "myself" is a better choice as it is in a more active sense - that you, yourself, are taking care of yourself.

For common colds, we would not visit a hospital, we would visit a clinic. But in casual speech, we say we are going to see a doctor.

Good job.

Please be careful with energy drinks. If they are the typical highly-caffeinated carbonated drinks I am thinking of, they are really not good for you and should be especially avoided if you are sick.
