Every time they did this, they also carried a modern magnetic tape recorder and played some New Age music.
They were in their twenties. Fashionable, energetic and handsome. I admired them a lot.
One song that they repeated playing was very nice. Every time they played the song, I always tried to listen to it longer.
That was the first time I had heard that kind of sweet song after the reform and opening up of China. Before, songs in China were all the so-called revolutionary songs.
I enjoyed hearing it every day and I remember it was also in the spring. I would feel lazy and sleepy while listening to it.
After listening to it for a while, I learned that the name of the song was "honey sweet" and it was a song by Chinese female singer Teresa Teng.
That was the first time I knew of Teresa Teng and the first time I knew that there were some nicer songs than the revolutionary songs.
Since then, I have listened to many songs by Teresa Teng and I like any of her songs.
