Homeschooling

Many people hold the opinion that homeschooling is outdated and even undesirable nowadays. Others, however, disagree and point out many advantages to homeschooling in comparison with traditional education.
They rightfully remark that children get more attention from a private tutor or a parent than from a teacher at school. The latter has to divide his attention between dozens of students during a lesson and can give only a brief moment of his time to each one of them. This causes some of the less-talented students to fall further and further behind their more able peers. Homeschooling, on the other hand, allows you to choose your own learning pace and also to tailor your studying plan to your personal needs and goals. We must also acknowledge that traditional learning methods used in schools are not always the most effective ones.
Nevertheless, many people prefer to entrust education of their children to professionals. Even highly cultured parents cannot be experts in everything and lack in knowledge and ability to be a good teacher. Of course, it is possible to hire good tutors for every subject. However, it will cost you a pretty penny, and not many can afford a luxury like this. Furthermore, while choosing learning materials, it is possible to fall into the trap of confirmation bias. We usually favor information that corroborates our existing beliefs. School textbooks are more balanced and contain information approved by reputable scholars and the scientific community. Last but not least, school allows children to spend time among their peers and helps them to develop necessary social skills.
In conclusion, in spite of all the positive aspects of homeschooling, I believe that traditional schools offer better quality education than most parents can provide to their children.

Your paragraphs are lacking proper indentation and are very bulky. Try to make more paragraphs that are still self-contained. This is not easy to show when correcting on this platform.

Thank you for your feedback! I tried to indent the paragraphs, but was unsuccessful. It looks like you cannot do it on the website. As for the paragraphs' size, I agree with you and will pay more attention to this from now on.

Both are correct.

My correction was more for the essay as a whole, it's not always about what's grammatically correct, but what works better for the essay as a whole. If the level of grammar varies too much, it looks odd.

There are plenty of grammatically correct sentences that have better alternatives given the context.

Thanks for your comment. :)

The lattteacher has to divide his attention between dozens of students during a lesson and can give only a brief moment of his time to each one of them.

You mentioned three people: a tutor, a partent, and a teacher. "Former" and "latter" only work with two people.

It sounds better like that to me. What you wrote was okay though.

"Traditional learning methods" is general, whereas "the most effective ones" is particular.

Nevertheless, many people prefer to entrust the education of their children to professionals.

It sounds better like that to me. "Education" with no article is general. "Their children" is particular. It sounds better to me if they match.

Even highly culturededucated and knowledgeable parents cannot be experts in everything and lack in knowledge and ability to be a good teacher.

Just a suggestion. "Cultured" is not quite right.

However, it will cost you a pretty pennybe expensive, and not many can afford a luxury like this.

"Pretty penny" is okay, but it's very informal and doesn't fit well with the tone. So far the tone has been quite formal.

Furthermore, while choosing learning materials, it is possible to fall into the trap of confirmation bias.

We usually favor information that corroborates our existing beliefs.
