Holidays in the mountains
Right now I'm working in the mountains, but it really feels like holidays. I'm hired by a family who needs a nanny to take care of their two kids. The thing is, the kids are almost all the time skiing with the parents, and meanwhile I'm in a restaurant drinking coffee and reading. When one of the kids is too tired, they let them with me, but I don't need to entertain the kid because he plays in the snow. In the afternoon we go down to our chalet, I supervise the kids while they shower and let them watch TV, or we play some games. The parents stay in the mountain and maybe have some drinks or go to a fancy dinner. So far, this is the easiest job I had in my whole life, I wish they hired me for more than one week.

I'm not sure about other places, but on the East Coast we tend to only use "Holidays" to refer to Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year. We tend to use the word "vacation" instead of "holidays" in other occasions.
