My Career
After scoring the highest marks in the middle school graduation exam, I didn’t choose to study at the No. 1 High School in my hometown. Instead, I enrolled in a secondary vocational school, as it guaranteed a government - assigned job upon graduation.
I had no interest in becoming a doctor or a teacher. Due to my weak constitution, I had undergone several hospital treatments and deeply disliked the atmosphere in the hospital.
My head teacher often criticized me for not always following his instructions, so I had a poor impression of teachers.
At the time, I didn’t even know how to fill out school application forms or which major to choose. Nevertheless, with help from others, I eventually selected three schools: the Huaibei Electric Power School, the Anhui Forestry School, and the Fuyang Agricultural Mechanization School.
I was admitted to the last school and majored in agricultural machinery management.
After graduation, I changed jobs four times, all within the agricultural industry.
In my first four working years, I worked at a county - level agricultural machinery training center outside my hometown. Later, I was transferred to the same type of work unit in my hometown.
After eight years at the second work unit, I moved to a third organization responsible for promoting new agricultural machinery and technology.
Now I work at an agricultural school, organizing training programs for local farmers. Since I’m nearing retirement age, I’m certain this will be my final workplace.
