Help with Katakana Layout

Hello, I'm needing a bit of help with Japanese Katakana. My understanding is that when written vertically, katakana text should be read right to left. Is this correct? I don't seem to be able to upload an image of the text to get accurate feedback on it. If someone could tell me how to do this that would be great.
