Which one is correct? What is the difference between these two?
1. They walked to the sport shop.
2. They walked to the sports shop.
'Sport' here is noun because there isn't adjective of it in the dictionary. So, I don't understand, why is 'sports', not sport'?
2. They walked to the sports shop.

I would say it is sports with the s as it is plural. It is a shop selling goods for many sports. This is also a thing where there will be regional dialect differences, so you might hear both being used. I think gramatically it is a noun modifier, a noun modifying another noun.
2. They walked to the sports shop.

"sports" can actually be used as an adjective! Anything related to athletic ability uses the adjective "sports", so that's the correct option in this scenario. Let me know if you have a question!
