Grammar: Future

I went over my notes on future tenses today, so I wanted to apply them on a dialogue because I haven't written one in a while and it sounds fun.

A: Hey, honey, what's wrong?

B: It's work. I haven't been meeting deadlines recently and that's creating some tension with my boss.

A: Oh, don't worry, it'll be alright. I'm sure he'll understand we are going through some rough times.

B: It's definitely not going to be alright. He was understanding at the beginning, but today he told me that if I don't start being punctual and handing in my work in time, he'll have no option but to fire me. I'm very tired as I will have been caring for my mother for two months by Friday, but I can't just leave her alone and go to work, she is very ill! But I also can't be fired right now, we need the money for her treatment.

A: Look, I'll make you a cup of tea and we'll figure out a way to balance work and taking care of your mother. I'll ask my boss if I could take a leave from work. That way, I can take care of your mother for a while.

B: Thank you, hun. It would be great if you could. I'm sure that I'll have all of my work finished by Monday morning if you took care of her this week. That'll alleviate the tension with my boss, but we still need a long term solution.

A: Yeah, I know. Let me make you that tea and we'll find a way to make it work.

B: If you don't mind, I will we taking a shower while you do so. I need to relax.

I'm not pleased with the last bit, but I wanted to use the future continuous somewhere.

Grammar: Future

I went over my notes on future tenses today, so I wanted to apply them ton a dialogue because I haven't written one in a while and it sounds fun.

Or "use them in"

A: Hey, honey, what's wrong?

B: It's work.

I haven't been meeting my deadlines recently and that's creating some tension with my boss.

I would say "that's been creating" but your meaning comes across perfectly as is so I think it's personal preference

A: Oh, don't worry, it'll be alright.

B: It's definitely not going to be alright.

Feedback

Nice dialogue! I know another user corrected hun -> hon, but I have seen it both ways so I did not change it.

A: Oh, don't worry, it'll be alright.

I'm sure he'll understand we are going through some rough times.

The contraction for "we are" is "we're".

B: It's definitely not going to be alright.

I don't think that "definitely" would be used here conversationally. Instead, I think that most people would heavily stress the "not" for emphasis.

He was understanding at the beginningfirst, but today he told me that if I don't start being punctual and handing in my work ion time, he'll have no option but to fire me.

I'm very tired as I wi'll have been caring for my mother for two months byon Friday, but I can't just leave her alone and go to work, she is very ill!

"She is" is commonly written/said as "she's".

But I also can't be fired right now, we need the money for her treatment.

I'm not sure if this is wrong, but "get" sounds much more natural to me in the place of "be".

I'll ask my boss if I couldan take a leave from work.

B: Thank you, huon.

It's "hon" because it's short for "honey".

It would be great if you could.

I'm sure that I'll have all of my work finished by Monday morning if you tookake care of her this week.

That'll alleviate the tension with my boss, but we still need a long term solution.

B: If you don't mind, I wi'll wbe taking a shower while you do so.

I think you might've had a typo here.

I need to relax.

(Sorry, I accidentally clicked enter before I finished). I did notice that you switched "in" and "on" a bit, but other than that I think everything is fine.

Thank you! I'll make sure to revise that. And I have to be consistent with contractions.
