Grammar

Men never forget how women treat themselves during the most difficult period of their lives.
Should I use "treat" in the present or past in this sentence?

Corrections

Men never forget how women treat themselves during the most difficult periods of their lives.

Use the present tense in order to be consistent with “forget,” which is also in the present tense.

Men never forget how women treat themselves during their most difficult period of their lives.

Feedback

Since forget is in the present tense, treat in present tense is also used.

Respectfully, I don't agree with this correction. You could say:

Men never forget how women treat themselves during the most difficult period of their lives.

OR

Men never forget how women treat themselves during their most difficult period in life.

The above sounds more natural, in my opinion. The possessive adjective is not required twice.

Hope this helps :)
