Today, I went through the chapter of comparison of my grammar textbook. And, I was stuck with this sentence. "The more expensive the hotel, the worse the service."
I wonder why "is" is omitted after the noun, respectively.
I also would like to put on these sentences here to help me memorize them.
”I like him all the better because he is modest and clever.”
”The fact that I simply ignored her rude remarks made her all the more angry.”
I'm not familiar with the above expressions, so I will definitely memorize them and hopefully use them at conversation.

名詞の後に「is」が省略されているのはなぜでしょうか。

It's omitted because it's not really necessary. In this sort of comparative expression, you aren't making a complete sentence! :)
