Going in circles

Hi, I’m Japanese and want to become a polyglot in the long run.
To kick off my journey, I started learning English and Korean.
But I ended up throwing in the towel in less than a year.
It turned out to be way harder than I thought, honestly.
And finally, it’s been roughly two years since I stepped away from language study.
Looking back, perhaps my biggest mistake was treating language learning like schoolwork. 20/20 hindsight.
Now, I’m apparently at a point where I need to get my rusty language skills back up to the B2–C1 level they were at back then (I think I’m probably about B1 now).

私は日本人で、多言語話者になることが長い目で見た目標です。
それに向けて、手始めに英語と韓国語の勉強を始めました。
でも結局1年足らずで挫折しました。
正直ナメてました。
そして気がつけば、言語学習と距離を置いてから約2年も経ってしまいました。
今思えば、言語学習を勉強と捉えたのが最大の間違いだった。まあ、今更感。
とりあえずは、落ちた言語力を前のB2-C1くらいまで上げ直す段階かなぁ。(今は多分B1とかそのくらい)
