好長一段時間就是待在電腦桌前,這是我當時唯一能做的。

I am not a Taiwanese, but I love this country, Taiwan, so I moved to and started to live in Taiwan. The day that my grandma has gone to heaven, I still stay in Taiwan, so I lose the last time to see her face. However I can't figured out how to make a sentence in English. Do you understand what I mean?

You could say, "I've been in Taiwan for a long time, even when my grandmother passed away". I hope this helps!
