The story of Samson and Delilah

After entering the Promised Land, the Israelites repeatedly disobeyed God.
God allowed the Philistines to rule over them for forty years.
Forty years later, a man named Samson came to save them.
Before Samson was born, an angel appeared to his mother and said that she would give birth to a son.
She had to promise to God that she must never drink alcohol.
Her son Samson had to promise never to shave his head.
God made Samson incredibly powerful.
One day, he killed a lion without any weapons.
Samson fell in love with a Philistine woman named Delilah.
The leaders of the Philistines asked Delilah to find out the reason why Samson was so powerful.
At first he deceived Delilah and did not tell her the secret of his great power.
Delilah asked every day, making Samson irritated, so he just told the secret of his hair to Delilah.
While he was asleep, Delilah shaved his hair.
Then the Spirit of God left Samson, and so did his great power.
The Philistine enemies came and captured Samson easily.
In English, Delilah refers to an unfaithful woman or betrayal.

You could add "in return" to the start of this sentence to link it to the previous sentences, ie. God made them swear these things and in return, God made Samson incredibly powerful.

Samson fell in love with a Philistine woman named Delilah.

It could be worthwhile to add a clarifier to the start of this sentence to set it apart from the previous sentence, eg. later, some time later, some years later (after he killed the lion), to clarify that the paragraph is moving on to a different point/topic now.
