After-sales Service

My old smart band finally gave out after five years, so I ordered a replacement online the day before yesterday.

It arrived just yesterday. However, I noticed a minor defect: a raised metal dot on the strap button that might damage my clothes. I contacted customer support immediately. They directed me to a nearby offline service center.

I swung by the location this morning before heading to the office. The issue was resolved in literally two minutes.

Here’s a tip for buying electronics in China: Test everything thoroughly before you leave the country! After-sales service is incredibly convenient in major cities, but it can be a real hassle if you’re no longer in China.

“Damage” is fine, or if you wanted to be more precise, you could say it might “snag” your clothes (I’m assuming that the dot was sharp or rough and therefore might snag the fabric of your clothes).

I contacted the seller’s / manufacturer’s customer support immediately.

They directed me to a nearby offline service center.

I swung by the location this morning before heading to the office.

Nice use of “swing” and “head”!

The issue was resolved in literally two minutes.

I generally don’t capitalize the first word after a colon, although some people do. Here’s what Grammarly says about this:
“In American English, the first word after a colon is sometimes capitalized if it begins a complete sentence; in British English, the first letter after a colon is capitalized only if it’s a proper noun or an acronym.”

Thank you!

Have a nice day!

我的猜测: My old smart hair band finally gave out after five years, so I ordered a replacement online the day before yesterday.

The word "band" has many different meanings. My guess is that you are writing about a hair band.

Ok, I will take up the challenge. I'm guessing it is your watch band. The clues are "smart" and "damage clothes" and "electronics."
A term to describe the "an offline service center" is "a brick and mortar" shop or store.

Thank you both!

Yes, it's a watch band! Don't we say it smart band directly? If not, what's its English name?

It looks like this one: https://xqimg.imedao.com/199836cd20c153e63fe45726.png!800.jpg

And it can also be changed like these: https://am.zdmimg.com/202506/30/6861b878e6e3f2618.png_e1080.jpg

I don't know what a smart "hair" band would be, but I assumed it was a smartwatch/smartband.

They seem to be called smartwatch bands according to a quick online search, but I think context probably affects what people call them when they talk to each other.

A smart hairband sounds futuristic, but I just learned that smart headbands already exist. They are used to monitor sleep, meditation, and brain activity.
