If I understand correctly, "later" is describing the games that would be after Japan losing, so it would be placed like above (you can use either "following", "subsequent" or "later", but I think "following" sounds more natural). If you just meant generally "later in time", then the original sentence placement and word choice is correct.
Even if they lose the game, I want it to be on TV.

Great job! I don't watch much volleyball regularly, but I always enjoy watching it during the Olympics. Of course, I also have seen a few seasons of the Haikyuu anime lol. Maybe this year I should watch the Nations League matches.
