Frieren's Trading Cards (84)

I've been collecting Frieren's card lately.

If you buy a wafer, it comes with a piece of the character's card.

There are 29 different designs in total and I've already collected 20 designs.

I was thinking about buying some more to get the rest of the designs, but actually I wouldn't because it felt like I was wasting my money.

However, I'm still thinking about if I should buy some, but I just can't decide.

I have a question.

In this case, can I say "I'm debating whether or not to buy more"?

Does it sound too formal in a conversation? I'd like to know the casual way of saying it. Thank you!

I'm debating whether or not to buy more"って言えますか?

これは、会話だと丁寧すぎますか?カジュアルな言い方が知りたいです。よろしくお願いします。

Saying “I won’t” sounds more natural.

However, I'm still thinking about if I should buy sombuying some more, but I just can't decide.

It can be used both in informal and formal conversation.

That's fine, it's not too formal to say in a conversation. A more casual way could be something like "I'm trying to decide if I should by more."

"It felt like I was wasting my money" means that you're talking about your feelings in the past, but I think you're talking about how you feel now. So "I feel like..." sounds better.

You could also say,

"it feels like a waste of money."

(The "it" is "buying the rest of the cards").

However, I'm still thinking about ifwhether I should buy some, but I just can't decide.

Sure, "I'm debating whether (or not)..." is often said in everyday conversation. (The "not" is optional.) Or you can say, "I'm still deciding whether..." or "I'm still thinking about whether... (like in your sentence).

Where did you buy these wafers with Frieren character cards? I might want to buy one if I can. 🤣

Thank you so much for your corrections and explaining. I usually buy it at a Seven Eleven, but not every Seven Eleven has it. I found it at a Seven Eleven and I bought five and sole out. And then I stopped by four or five Seven Eleven and found the one that has many Frieren wafers😅
