Last week, I studied French for two hours.
I've never learned any grammar rules, only French pronunciation.
The first thing I noticed is the spelling and the pronunciation are quite difficult.
It will take some time before you get comfortable with all the intricacies.
There are similarities between French and English, but they are not so evident at a quick glance.
There are many cognates, but their pronunciation is quite different.
Many English words are originated from French, such as photo, limousine, debut, gourmet, fashion, coup d'état, chauffeur.
If you drive yourself, you are the driver. If you hire someone else to drive, someone is called chauffeur.
In conclusion, French words are superior to English words.
By the way, the cover of British passport is written in French.
French was the official language in England for around 300 years.
There are more French speakers in Africa than Europe.
Learning a new language was the best decision of your life.
I love learning languages, however my ability using French is the same as that of a baby.
