I hated French since I was a kid, my French teachers used to bully me and treat me badly especially if they knew I was bad at it. I grew up with this idea that I will never learn it because it's not important.

Alternatively you could say: I’ve hated French ever since I was kid.
If you word it this way it makes it clear that you still hate French to this day.

I'm so sorry that your French teachers bullied you like that. You didn't deserve that. This reminds me of a video by Aba and Preach, when they were learning French as a young kid.

I grew up with this idea that I will never learn it because it's not important.
