There are a few different syntactic features but it's mostly a difference of vocabulary and pronunciation. So with someone that doesn't have a strong accent (compared to standard French) and goes for a "neutral" vocabulary, it will be alright, but if a Québécois speaker has a strong accent and uses a lot of purely Québécois words, the average Frenchie will have a hard time understanding them. It would be like a South LA teen trying to understand traditional Cockney English, or something of the like
