First Time Vote

I came of age in May, my birthday, so I got the right to vote and went to at the first time. I felt a responsibility to participate in politics and had a trigger to think more about Japan's political mechanisms. Recently, the voting rate of young people seems much lower, so I think it leads to an increase if any campaign can gain some merit.

First -Time Voter

Alternative: First Time Voting

The first one is describing you, as a voter, and first-time is an adjective for you
The second is describing your experience, voting for the first time

I became of age in May, my birthda legal adult in May, so I got the right to vote and went to atdo so for the first time.

"Coming of age" is very old fashioned in English, we would not typically say this to describe turning 18 (or whatever legal age). That phrase would be used in a romanticized sense.
No need to add "my birthday," it's redundant here.

I felt a responsibility to participate in politics, and had athis triggered me to think more about Japan's political mechanismssystem.

Recently, the voting rate of young people seems to be much lower, so. I think it leads to ancould be increased if any campaign canould gain some merit/interest.
