The dungeon crawler boardgame

Today I'll tell you about the hardest boardgame that I have played - Kingdom Forlorn.
I start with a little off-top introduction.

I have some expirience in boardgames, including Euro-games like Mars colonisation, strategies and even a bit participation in a Dungeon and Dragons short sessions.
Some guy from the chat of our local boardgame community ask to play in the Kingdom Forlorn that he has a few weeks ago.

Not much people like struggle boardgames, them don't ready to waste few hours just to explore the rules and after it - spend about four hours to play a game.
But I have helped the guy to find some engaged person (*people* idk word fits here).

When I arrived to him I saw some large boxes and a lot of grey miniatures of creatures, so I asked him how much is it cost? It was about 1 000 dollars for him.
Meanwhile he has a wife and two children (just a joke, it's not my business).
The game was release recently, about a year ago. As he said the studio-developer was founding money at the Kickstarter and was designing the game for five years.
I found it exciting - there are a lot of stuff and all of it look high quality. For example, paper of the rulebook and the character's books are too expensive in production - like magazine. And the arts are awesome, very stylish.
This game is hard - we spend an eight hours to complete a half of one encounter. Mostly because we had often to read the rules. And it supposes twenty encounters as minimal. There is an atmosphere of dark medieval fantasy. And the game challenges you, I think developer has inspired by the Dark Souls videogame series.

At the second session we have completed the first encounter by our deaths - quest was failed.
A player doen't feel a danger in many games, he believe him to win anyway. In my opinion this make games aren't so interesting as they could be. Scientific experiments prove that people get the best effect of positive emotions (by dophamine or something the same) from a reward when they have a fifty percent chance of success.

I liked this expirience and I will play in this game more, because it helps you to feel the envirement (a world around you) instead of you are a superhero machine.

AThe player doesn't feel any danger in many games, he believed in him to win anyway. The player doesn't feel any danger in many games, he believed in him to win anyway.

Again, not 100% of the meaning, but the above sounds good

AIn many games, the player doesn't feel ain danger in many games,; he believes himself to win anyway, regardless. In many games, the player doesn't feel in danger; he believes himself to win, regardless.

I'll start with a little off-topic introduction. I'll start with a little off-topic introduction.

Not sure if off-topic is what you mean?

I'll start with a little off-toptangential introduction. I'll start with a little tangential introduction.

Also not sure what "off-top" is supposed to be. "off-topic" doesn't really make sense because the following sentences are related to the main topic. "tangential" can mean it has some relevance to the story but is not necessary information

I'll start with a little off-top introduction. I'll start with a little off-top introduction.

"I start with" implies you regularly or repeatedly start this way, but since you're talking about one occurrence in the near future, "I will start with" (or abbreviated to "I'll start with") is the correct tense.

I have some experience (in) with board games, including Euro-games like Mars colonisation, strategy games and even a bit of participation in short Dungeon and Dragons sessions.

"experience in" is usually used for talking about jobs or skills, while "experience with" is more general/casual and so more appropriate for board games. "in a ... sessions" is wrong, since "sessions" is plural but "a" is only used with singular things. You can use "some", but you can also just leave out an article entirely. Adjective order is weird in English, but generally more specific adjectives (like "Dungeons and Dragons") go closer to the noun than more general adjectives (like "short")

Again, not 100% sure, but this sounds good

Some guy from the group chat ofor our local boardgame community asked to play in the Kingdoms Forlorn that he has, which he owns, a few weeks ago. Some guy from the group chat for our local boardgame community asked to play Kingdoms Forlorn, which he owns, a few weeks ago.

"Group chat" feels more fitting for this case. "chat" generally refers to old-style instant messaging boards or like Twitch.tv chat. "Group chat" can refer to group text messages, Discord multi-DMs, etc.

Some guy from the chat of our local boardgame community asked to play in the Kingdom Forlorn that he has a few weeks ago. Some guy from the chat of our local boardgame community asked to play the Kingdom Forlorn that he has a few weeks ago.

"ask" - present tense "asked" - past tense "play in the (X) game" would be like a specific occurrence of it, like he's set up the board already and is getting people to play for one round "play with (X)" is mostly used for kids toys, or for naming the people that joined in A simple "play X" is more used for e.g. video games, or for talking about the idea of playing a board game in general, and not a specific single gameplay session

If you're trying to find a term to mean people who also enjoying playing games 'like-minded' is a good term here

But I havedid helped the guy to find some engaged playerson (*people* idk word fits here). But I did help the guy find some engaged players.

or "people" but I think "players" or "participants" sounds better "have helped" makes it seem like it's a recurring action but it sounds like you only helped him one time

"people" = more than one "person" = one person only

We don't say "arrive to [someone]" If you want to directly quote your question, then: 'so I asked him, "How much did it cost?"'

When I arrived to him, I saw some large boxes and a lot of grey miniatures of creatures, so I asked him how much idoes it cost? When I arrived, I saw some large boxes and a lot of grey miniatures of creatures, so I asked him how much does it cost?

It was about 1 000 dollars for him.

It was about 1 ,000 dollars for him. It was about 1,000 dollars for him.

Not a big issue, just we usually, use ',' in our long numbers.

It wasran him about 1 ,000 dollars for him. It ran him about 1,000 dollars.

adding "for him" makes it sound like other people would pay a different price "run" is a colloquial way to say "cost"; it also subtley implies the cost is high. I used it to avoid repeating "cost" again ie. "That'll cost you $50." = "That'll run you $50."

It was about 1 ,000 dollars for him. It was about 1,000 dollars for him.

When writing numbers in English, we use commas as a thousands seperator.

"released" is past tense

As he said the studio-developer was foundraising money at the Kickstarter and was designing the game for five years. As he said the studio-developer was raising money at the Kickstarter and was designing the game for five years.

"founding" = creating a long standing thing involving many people (usually like companies, cities, countries) "finding" = discovering something, usually implies a little unintentionally "searching for" = trying to find something intentionally But for getting money to make something, like a kickstarter or investors in a business, we usually say "raising money".

Not 100% sure on the 'like magazine' as to how that fits in

For example, the paper ofthey used for the rulebook and the character's books are toovery expensive in production - like magazine paper. For example, the paper they used for the rulebook and the character's books are very expensive in production - like magazine paper.

For example, the paper of the rulebook and the character's books are toovery expensive in production - like magazine. For example, the paper of the rulebook and the character's books are very expensive in production - like magazine.

"are too expensive in production" kind of implies they can't make the book as it costs too much. If you just want to imply a large level of expense without saying it's a problem, it's better to stick to a simple "very expensive"

And the arts arework is awesome, very stylish. And the artwork is awesome, very stylish.

And the arts are is awesome, very stylish. And the art is awesome, very stylish.

"art" is its own plural when talking about the things that you have made "arts" is more about when you need a noun to describe multiple skills themselves (like "drawing", "painting", "sewing") rather than the things you make with those skills.
