The essay:
In the last 100 years, our planet has suffered the most important deforestation in its entire history. Only a century has been enough to see how 3/4 of the green surfaces have disappeared due to human activities.
If each person on the planet born in the 20th century had planted a tree along his or her life, we wouldn't have gotten the actual levels of pollution in our cities because the resulting forests grown would have helped to clear the air and reduce contamination.
Nevertheless, we are on time to revert this situation. Small actions like planting a tree can make the difference between a devastated Earth in the next century and a planet where we will be able to inhabit in brotherhood with nature.
In addition, those big vegetation areas would have provided shade and fresher conditions that had minimized the global warming effect produced by gases and high temperatures.
To sum up, although it seems a bit late, today is better than tomorrow for starting to help our environment and, in the end, ourselves.

Only a century has been enoughIt has only taken a century to see how 3/4 of the green surfpaces have disappeared due to human activitiesy.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean with "green surfaces".
If eachvery person on the planet born in the 20th century had planted a tree along his or hein their life, we wouldn' not have gotten the actualreached current levels of pollution in our cities. This is because of the resulting forests grown would have helped to clearing the air and reduce contaminationof pollutants.
I think this sentence reads more easily if it is divided into two.
Nevertheless, we are onthis is the time to revert this situation.
Small actions, like planting a tree, can makbe the difference between a devastated Earth in the next century and a planet where we will be able toone that we can inhabit in brotherhoodunity with nature.
Brotherhood is usually something we use when referring to groups of people, not concepts or ideas.
In addition, those bigareas of vegetation areas would have provided the shade and fresher conditions that hadnecessary to minimized the effects of global warming effect produced bycaused by ( greenhouse ) gases and highrising temperatures.
To sum up, although it ( seems / may seem ) a bit late, today is better than tomorrow for starting to help ourhelping the environment and, ( in the end, / ultimately ) ourselves.
I think in English, "now is better than never" would be a more commonly used phrase.
