I Stopped Watching YouTube

I’ve recently stopped watching YouTube. When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brighter.

There is a YouTuber who has cancer. He grew up in a single-mother household, and he said he is at stage 4 and doesn’t have much time left. He believes that his illness may be related to the diet he had as a child. Because his family was poor, he said he often ate bean sprouts and meatballs.

Nowadays, it’s often said that one in two people in Japan will develop cancer, so there are many cancer patients in the country. Both my father and mother have had cancer, so I feel that I myself may also have a high chance of developing it someday due to genetic factors.

Watching people suffer from cancer doesn’t make me feel positive. He is a kind-hearted person who shares his message, saying, “Please take care of your diet, everyone.” However, from my perspective on life, it sometimes feels like people with beautiful hearts tend to pass away sooner or drift away from where they are most needed.

I Stopped Watching YouTube

I’ve recently stopped watching YouTube.

I’ve recently stopped watching YouTube. I’ve recently stopped watching YouTube.

It would be more natural to say: "I recently stopped watching videos on YouTube."

When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brighter.

When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brighetter. When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any better.

When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brightervery happy. When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel very happy.

What you wrote was correct, but feels a bit poetic.

When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brighter. When I watch it, there are quite a few times when it doesn’t make me feel any brighter.

Depends if you mean to say 'happier' or 'smarter' - 'bright' can be used as term for intelligence

When I watch it, (there are quite a few times when it) it often doesn’t make me feel any brighthappier. When I watch it, (there are quite a few times when ) it often doesn’t make me feel any happier.

Super nitpicky here, but "times" makes you think of past occurrences, so can come across a little strange in the ongoing tense. "brighter" = "smarter" (but very casually). The rest of this piece makes it sound like you meant happier. While sometimes bright is used in contexts related to happiness ("to brighten someone's day" ~= "to make someone happier"), it's not a general purpose synonym.

There is a YouTuber who has cancer.

You could also say 'single-parent household' - 'single-mother household' is a little uncommon to say

That's odd... I thought bean sprouts help to stop cancer!

I see what you're trying to say, but 'so' here can imply that there are cancer patients BECAUSE people say that one in two people will develop cancer, when it's the other way round.

Both my father and mother have had cancer, so I feel that I myself may also have a high chance of developing it someday due to genetic factors.

I hope that doesn't happen - stay strong!

Watching people suffer from cancer doesn’t make me feel positive.

Watching people suffer from cancer doesn’t makes me feel positivesad. Watching people suffer from cancer makes me feel sad.

People don't usually say 'I feel positive' by itself, they usually say "I feel positive about [something]". You can either say "...doesn't make me feel good" or "...makes me feel bad/sad/depressed". That said, there are probably people who do say "I feel positive" by itself, so if you've heard someone say it before then that's alright.

He is a kind-hearted person who shares his message, saying, “Please take care of your diet, everyone.”

However, from my perspective on life, it sometimes feels like people with beautiful hearts tend to pass away sooner or drift away from where they are most needed.

"Beautiful hearts" sounds a little unusual. You can simply say "good hearts", but personally I like the phrase "beautiful hearts".

However, fFrom my perspective on life, it sometimes feels like people with beautiful hearts tend to pass away sooner or drift away from where they are most needed. From my perspective on life, it sometimes feels like people with beautiful hearts tend to pass away sooner or drift away from where they are most needed.

"However" is used when the thing you're going to say contradicts what you were saying before. I don't think what you're saying contradicts what you just said (a kind-hearted person is suffering from cancer).
