Explosion Of Anger

Finally, my anger exploded today. I could not control myself somehow.

Simply speaking, my boyfriend who lives together doesn't do the housework at all and he just plays game or sleeps. It seems like I am a housekeeper.

Usually, I tend to suppress my feelings and emotions if I take something awful.
But, it piles up unknowingly and it explodes. And, I start hating myself at the same time.

Which do you think better that you spit out every happen or you control yourself on the spot and explode latter?
I know that staying peace is the best, though.

Tomorrow will be a sunny day, so hopefully I want to be in a good mood like the sun;)

Feedback

I think communication is vital. My boyfriend and I recently sat down together with a list of expectations of each other. We did it when we were both calm and not arguing. It went really well! Being able to communicate and know what the other person thought/wanted helped a lot. Now we have a better balance, and we're both happier!

Thank you! I totally agree with your thought and I will try to chat with him about it.
I also think that a balance is very important for everything. I know but it is a difficult thing. Anyway I will try to go well!

We would not really say our 'ange'r exploded, rather we tend to say 'I exploded' or 'I just exploded'.

Hey! Hope tomorrow IS a better day. And don't let yourself get used like that. Housework should be shared evenly: 50-50. Break down tasks such as cooking and washing up. And bins and bathroom. Ask him to choose which two tasks he prefers and let him do those ones. Good luck!

You can actually use 'sunny' to mean 'happy/cheerful' as well! So you could say:

Tomorrow will be a sunny day, so hopefully I will be in a sunny mood ;)

Feedback

It's a very difficult question to answer... People don't like being scolded all the time for small things, but it's also unpleasant to bottle up your feelings. I really hope your boyfriend will start to help more in the house. It's not fair for you to do all the work.

Question↓
"Simply speaking" was written in the dictionary.
This words can be used only in spoken language?
Or, just "Put simply" is better and natural, common?

'Put simply' definitely sounds more natural to me. 'Simply speaking' isn't a phrase I've heard often. I don't think it's wrong, but it's not very commonly used.

Thank you. I understand it.
I want to speak natural English, so "Put simply" is the best for me too. Thank you!
