People only see what they are prepared to see
People only see what they are supposed to see. When you look at anything, you only look at something you are interested in. This happens unconsciously, and if something has nothing to do with what you are thinking, you do not even notice that it exists. For example, you do not pay attention to or see stones on the streets.
