English Sprint: Day 1

I thought that if I studyied at home, I would probably sleep in agaifall asleep again, so I changed my study location.

The verb tense was adjusted to match the past, and “study location” sounds more natural than “place to study.”
앞에서 thought라고 과거를 써서, if 뒤도 현재가 아니라 과거(studied)로 맞춰야 말이 딱 맞아. 영어는 시제 안 맞으면 바로 어색해져.
그리고 “place to study”도 틀린 건 아닌데, 영어에서는 이런 상황에서 “study location”이나 “study spot”을 훨씬 많이 써.

So I changed the place to study.

I ordered a venti -sized of coffee, and after thatthen I started to reading Grammar in uUse bBasic.

“Venti-sized” needs a hyphen, and “started reading” sounds more natural in casual writing.
사이즈 형용사는 영어에서 거의 다 하이픈으로 묶어. venti-sized, full-time, well-known 이런 식.
그리고 start to read도 문법적으로는 맞는데, 일기나 일상 글에서는 start reading이 훨씬 자연스럽게 들려.

FThe first unit was easy.

“I am, you are, he is.…” I silently spoke the example sentences as I read them.

Past tense was used to match the story, and “spoke” fits better here than “speak out.”
글 전체가 이미 과거 이야기니까 speak 말고 spoke로 맞춘 거야.
그리고 speak out은 “의견을 강하게 말하다” 느낌이라서, 조용히 따라 읽는 상황이랑은 안 맞아.

I silently speak out to read example sentences.

It wasn’t difficult, but sometimes my mouth was not used to reading these simple sentences.

“Used to” must be followed by a noun or an -ing form.
여기 진짜 많이 틀리는 포인트야.
be used to 다음에는 무조건 명사나 -ing야. to read는 절대 안 돼. reading이 정답.

Reading onwith my eyes and speak outing with my mouth were totalfelt completely different!.

“With my eyes” is the natural preposition.
영어에서는 눈이나 손 같은 도구 얘기할 때 on 말고 with를 써.
그리고 이 문장은 네가 느낀 차이를 되게 잘 표현했어. 자연스러워.

Also, I feelt confused ofabout the present perfect and the passive continueous, so I read those chapters twice.

“Confused about” is the correct collocation.
confused는 무조건 about이랑 붙어. of 쓰면 바로 외국인 티 나.
그리고 passive continue가 아니라 passive continuous가 정식 이름이야.

I read the book by 25 chapters and moved to25 chapters of the book and then moved on to a vocabulary book.

Quantity should be expressed with “25 chapters of the book,” not “by.”
by는 수단이나 방법일 때 쓰는 거고, 양 말할 때는 절대 안 써.
“몇 장 읽었다”는 무조건 number + of 구조야.

This book is targeted ato middle school students who will go on to high school in Korea.

The correct preposition with “target” is “at.”
target은 진짜 무조건 at이야. 이건 그냥 세트라고 외우는 게 편해.

I thought this isit would be good for my level, but there were many words I didn’t know!.

I am so’m really impressed forby Korean students.

“Impressed by” is the correct and natural expression.
impressed for는 아예 안 써. 무조건 by. 이건 그냥 고정 표현이야.

"mouthing the words" is a clearer..

Although the expression means without sound, you could leave "silently" here, to help readers who are unfamiliar with the expression understand what you did.

I appreciate your choice of the precise verb "to target." However it is awkward and unusual to use it with the preposition "to."
To match the precision of "targets" you could use "attend" instead of "go to."

Another way to improve this sentence is to separate your thought from the action. It might look something like this

I thought, "This is good for my level!", but there were many words I didn't know.
