English and Japanese

I write this entry after prewriting it in Japanese for the first time. I guess it's more difficult to translate Japanese to English than just to write in English. The word orders of Japanese and English are almost reversed, so it's confusing to think in Japanese and English at the same time. Many people tend to read English sentences from the back and translate them into Japanese when they start to learn English in junior high school. However, it takes a lot of time and it's useless when listening to English. I think I had to study for ages to understand English as it is.

初めて下書きを書いてから本文を書いてみようと思う。日本語から英語に訳すのは英語で作文するより難しいかもしれない。日本語と英語は語順が逆転するから同時に考えようとするとこんがらがってしまう。中学で初めて英語を勉強しはじめると、多くの人は英文を後ろから順番に読んで日本語に変換する事が多い。でも、この方法だと読むのにすごく時間がかかるし、リスニングだとまったく理解できない。英語を英語のまま理解できるようになるまでに、結構時間がかかったと思う。
