I mean, you could totally say that when you want people to talk to you in English. For instance if you come to France, you expect people to want to talk to you in French and you tell them that you can try to communicate in French but English would be better.

"Je parle un peu français, mais je suis meilleur en anglais." (factual)
"Je débute en français, lire les commentaires en anglais est plus simple pour moi."
"Comme je débute en français et que je suis meilleur en anglais, je préfèrerais que vous me corrigiez en anglais."
