Hey, guys!
I'm new to this site and would like to see how it works and what kind of people hang out here. A while ago I used Italki for writing notebook entries and it had worked pretty well until they decided to update the site. Now it's impossible to use their web version for writing, and that has pushed me to look for some other opportunities to practice it.
I'm a 49 years old Russian with the experience of teaching Russian online. However, my real profession is theater director and educator. In 2018-2019, as a Visiting Scholar, I taught Russian theater techniques at two American universities. That was an amazing adventure, and since then I have been trying to improve my English as it feels like I can no longer live without it. I still make loads of mistakes but try to focus on connection not perfection. That's, I believe, the only philosophy that allows a learner to get over all those hours and days of frustration and demotivation.
I will be thankful to everyone for corrections and sharing thoughts on all this.
Thanks!

The contraction "That's" doesn't flow well in this sentence.

Great writing. I only had one correction. I could nitpick your last sentence but it's perfectly acceptable. It might be a little better to say "I am thankful to everyone....". Everything else is great though. I agree: connection, not perfection.
