Check-in was fully automated, and the process was surprisingly smooth.

At the same time, the fatigue from the trip had accumulated considerably in my body. Even so, I was relieved that I was not experiencing the neck fatigue or breathing difficulties that I had been concerned about before departure.

After passing through the security check without any problems, we entered the departure area. My daughters took what seemed like their last opportunity to shop for souvenirs, browsing through the airport stores with enthusiasm. I, too, searched for a gift that my wife had asked me to bring back and eventually found a stork doll. It was quite expensive, but it was charming, and I hoped that my wife would like it.

一方で、僕の体には旅の疲れがかなり蓄積していた。それでも、出発前から気にしていた首の疲労感や呼吸の苦しさはなく、その点ではほっとしていた。
無事に手荷物検査を終え、制限区域の中へ入る。娘たちはここが最後のチャンスとばかりに、お土産店を回って買い物を楽しんでいた。僕も家内から頼まれていた土産を探し歩き、最終的にコウノトリの人形を見つけて購入した。値段はかなり高かったが、なかなか愛らしく家内が気にってくれることを願った。
