I read the text of brian926 and I remembered my past with chess.
The second memory was I participated of championship of chess in high school. I was the champions of my citiy and I won the small region championship and was competing in the big region championship. the three best avanced to state championship and after that national championship.
I never gotten so far and never trainned so hard like that year, so I was ready, but I knew that win it is veary hard, because have 40 participants and just avanced 3.
It was 5 matches and my first one was with one of the best players, but I was cool. I played veary weel, slowly and without mistakes, I won by a small margin. The opponent had so angry and abbandoned the championship in that moment and this harmed my tiebreaker score.
After that I won the second and third easily and after that was the pause for lunch, that dumn lunch.
When I eating with my friends I found out I was the new favorite to win the tournament and many people "bet" on me.
The fourth match was the most important of the score. I arrived extremely nervous, everyone looking at me, I was shaking.
I started to play and noted the opponent wasn't skilled so I tried finished fast but I made mistake and lost pieces and lose the match.
I was overcome with nervousness an I underestimated my opponent. Even if won the fifth match I came in fourth place. Wasn't enotgh to passed to next stage. I diserved one medal in the tournament. After that I lost motivation to play.
Estava lendo o texto do brian926 e tive duas memórias impactantes do passado.
O nervosismo me sucumbiu e eu subestimei meu adversário.
