My 2020 new years resolutions

I made many new year's resolutions every year, most of which ended up in failure.
So, I decided to make only one resolution this year.

I'm going to pass EIKEN Grade 1 in 2020.

EIKEN is a well-known test in Japan to assess English proficiency, which consists of two stages.
The first stage is a written exam including reading, listening, and writing parts. In the writing section, you have to write an essay with about 240 words on a given topic. It is the first barrier for me to pass an exam. Only examinees who pass this first stage can go to the second stage.

The second stage is a speaking test, which will be conducted in a face-to-face interview manner with two examiners. It's the second barrier for me to get through the exam.
To pass the EIKEN Grade 1, I have to memorize many more words, reduce grammatical mistakes, and improve my listening comprehension. There are five months left until the first stage test. I will do my best to pass it.

Thank you for reading this.

I've always made many nNew yYear's resolutions everyach year, most of which have ended up in failure.

This sentence is tricky to capture the nuance I think you want! I'll try to explain why, but I don't know if it will really make sense, ahaha.^^;;

"I made" makes it sound like you're talking about one year in particular. So, (for example), like "I made many New Year's resolutions last year." However, this isn't right, because you are talking about many different years.

So, you could say "I've made many New Year's resolutions every year," but I think that makes it sound like you're talking about this coming year as well. That's not right since you're doing it differently this year.

I'm not 100% sure whyd the correction I made sounds more natural to me, but I think it fixes those problems.

Avoid contractions in your test (I'm, don't, won't, can't etc). They are good when talking to friends, but in the test it would be better to not use them.
