Double Jet makes Europe Hot
Recent research paper in Nature showed that the heatwaves in Europe are influenced by the enhanced occurrence of double jet steam structure.
They say that that occurrence accompanies blocking highs between them and in consequence these bring heatwaves to Europe. The tendency of increased appearance of double jet can be attributed to the Arctic Amplification mechanism related to the global warming, according to the study.
