Do you remember the first novel you ever read?

I do remember the first novel I read.
It was called "Keritai Senaka". I think that was the first novel for adults that I read. I was 10 or 11 at that time.
That book is about a teenager who struggles with something.
I can't remember any other story about the book.
I even forget about the book I read a couple of weeks ago. So it's no wonder I forget about the book I read 10 years ago.

Alt: Do you remember the first novel that you've ever read?

I do remember the first novel I read.

Alt: I do remember the first novel that I've read.

Clarified meaning.

Alt: That book is about a teenager who is struggling with something.

I can't remember any other storydetails about the book.

I even forgetThat said, I have already forgotten about the book I read a couple of weeks ago.

Alt: That said, I have already forgotten most of the details from the book I finished a couple of weeks ago.

Transition words like "that said" make the change in thought less abrupt.

Thate book is about a teenager who struggles with something.

"The" sounds more natural here in this sentence. No worries though.

I can't remember any other storydetails about the book.

"Other stories about the book" would be stories people tell about the book. Stories surrounding the book (not contained inside the book).

I even forgeot about the book I read a couple of weeks ago.

So it's no wonder I forgeot about the book I read 10 years ago.

Feedback

The first "adult" book I ever read was Asimov's Foundation, when I was about 12, twenty years ago.
The first book I actually read was a Brian Jacques Redwall novel, but I can't remember which one... probably when I was about 8.

Maybe the first "adult" book is memorable for most people.
Thank you for correcting my text.
Considering my English skill, I will read the Brian Jacques Redwall novel first.

If you're looking for a recommendation, I'd say you should try MOONFLEET.

You can download it for free from Project Gutenberg!

https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/10743

And it seems there's even a free audio book here:

https://librivox.org/search?title=Moonfleet&author=FALKNER&reader=&keywords=&genre_id=0&status=all&project_type=either&recorded_language=&sort_order=catalog_date&search_page=1&search_form=advanced

So you can listen and read at the same time maybe. I definitely recommend this novel - it's a classic children's story, which is way cooler than Treasure Island, but still has pirates/smugglers etc.
