In case you don't know about it, here is a quick overview from my experience a few years ago: You pay for lessons, but they can be exactly what you request. There are two levels of teachers. The community teachers are native speakers without any special training in teaching languages. They charge less for their time than the professional teachers. Furthermore, native speakers who are new to the platform charge very low fees to establish themselves. Italki.com gives you a certain number of free lessons to try the platform. You can take these lessons with different people. At the very least, you will get a few free lessons. If you are lucky, you may find a community teacher who you really enjoy talking with. It takes a while to get used to how the website is set up and to filter the teachers to find someone you will work well with, but that research could pay off. Good luck!
